Seeking TIG Welder. Welder will have experience in welding P20, 4140, H13.

Welding done on damaged and modified indexable tool holder bodies, drills, and mills. Most parts 1 to 10 lbs, but may go up to 50 lbs on occasion.

Shop is air conditioned. First shift only but will talk to anyone interested in part-time hours.

We are seeking a Tool Room Machinist to join our team! Immediate need!

Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual mills/lathes to repair and manufacture indexable cutting tools
  • Modify parts tooling per customer engineering requests
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instrument​

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in toolroom/job shop environments
  • Familiarity machine tools and equipment
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • creative problem solver with a “CAN DO” attitude
  • TIG welding experience a PLUS, but NOT required (we will train!!!)

  • Programming for Indexable cutting tools (NEW & REPAIRS)
  • Create 3, 4, and (3+2) positional 5 axis programs from company and customer part files. Utilize SolidWorks, Solid Cam, FUSION 360 as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and edit programs at machines as required.
  • Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators
  • Design work holding and fixtures in SolidWorks
  • Create / update documentation, internal process drawings and inspection sheets for jobs assigned
  • Will require setup of machines in beginning and be involved in training personal to do their own eventually.
  • NOTE!! This position may require short term operating of machining centers as needed until operator positions filled.
  • Any cutting tool design or manufacturing experience incredibly helpful, but NOT required!
